“Ramadan in New York City” was a daily art series shared on Instagram throughout the month. Through evocative illustrations, the series offers a personal glimpse into the experience of a 20-something Muslim fasting, working, and navigating life in NYC. Inspired by the tradition of Ramadan TV series in the Middle East, where audiences tune in for a new episode each night, this project mirrors that rhythm, releasing a new illustration every evening to document the highs, struggles, and quiet reflections of fasting in one of the world’s busiest cities.
